Hi there!
I am Alix Fachin, software developer working for RoomBoss, a software company providing SAAS solutions for the hospitality industry.
I studied Computer Science in college, then went to work in finance, then worked in hospitality and am working in software development again!
Trivia Facts
- Born in France, lived abroad since I graduated from college
- Speaks French, English, Japanese. Studied German aber ich habe alles vergessen!
- The first video game I played was “New Zealand Story” from Taito, on an Amiga 500
- The first time I coded seriously was on my scientific calculator HP48SX in high school
- My main projects at university were coding a Ada Compiler, and finally a multi-threaded OS in C and Assembly
- I started my career in finance, developing macros and scripts for traders. I then coded a high-frequency options trading system, and was promoted to a trader position
- The first video game I finished without cheat codes was Final Fantasy X on PS2
- My favourite video game ever was The Last of Us II on PS4
